The Gardenia is a genus of the flowering plants in the coffee family, Rubiaceae. It is originally from the subtropical lands of Africa, Madagascar, the Pacific Islands, Australia and Asia. The Gardenia plant grows bright beautiful and highly fragranced creamy-white flowers and  green leaves. They thrive best in  sunny or shaded areas.
