The Orchid

Which plant can stand alone and look elegant and beautiful? The beautiful  Orchid. Its flower appears in a variety of shapes, textures, sizes, colors and are often fragrant filled. The flowers sort of resemble little bees or tiny birds in flight, or a bee that has landed on a flower. Have you seen the black or red Orchid, they are amazingly beautiful. There are over 600 genera of orchids. The hybrid Orchids are resilient plants that are quite adaptable to most conditions and temperatures. They can be grown indoors and outdoors. Although they can be easily grown not all produce flowers. Due to the resilient texture of these long lasting flowers, the Orchids are used in events such as weddings, anniversaries and other celebrations. They can also be used as a corsage and withstand the rigors of students. Over wetting the Orchid plant can kill off the roots. Never allow Orchids to sit in water, as this will cause the plant to die. Epiphytic or orchids that grow on trees and branches are not planted in the earth like terrestrial orchids. .The Epiphytic thrives best when grown from coconut or tree barks. The Blue Dawn Flower Plant


Do you want a beautiful blue addition to your garden, why not plant a Blue Dawn Flower plant to brighten things up a bit? The Blue Dawn flower plant or Ipomoea acuminata grows an imperial colored blue flower which has a rich remarkable quality. This plant can be grown from a plant pot or directly from the ground, either way, it can be trained on a stake, trellis or grown as a topiary. If the Blue Dawn flower plant is grown in a sun-room or greenhouse, the flower can last a full day with its bloom gradually fading as the day ends. The Blue Dawn flower plant is easily grown and can grow very quickly. It thrives best in partially shaded areas or direct sunlight and well-drained soil. The Hibiscus Plant

Would you like your garden to look amazing? Why not add a beautiful pink Hibiscus to the lot? The vibrant Hibiscus flowering plant is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae.T hey are large delicate shrubs with rich dark green leaves that produce huge colorful trumpet-shaped flowers, over a long season. The Hibiscus plant can grow as tall as 12 feet, with its flower growing approximately 5 inches in diameter. It appears in many different colors including white, red, peach, pink and yellow. These shrubs can be pruned into a single stemmed plant or be grown to become a beautiful garden hedge. Animals such as birds, bees, and butterflies are attracted to the beautiful hibiscus flowers. Pest such as aphids, whiteflies, and mealybugs are also attracted to the Hibiscus plant. To control a pest, it is suggested to use a horticultural oil or insecticide soap. The Hibiscus plant thrives best in partially shaded or sunlit areas. A moderate amount of watering, together with well-drained soil and fertilizer helps keep the plant looking healthy and beautiful.

The Ixora Plant


The Ixora Plant is also known as Ixora ebracteata is a rare species from Thailand. It is a genus with over 350 species, some of which rival the hibiscus as garden shrubs. The white Ixora grows as a medium size shrub that has long stamens. These white Ixoras are fragrant filled flowers that are sweet smelling and refreshing. Although Ixora plants make great garden hedging, they can also grow indoors in pots, The Ixora plant thrives best in partially shaded or sunlit areas, well-drained, slightly acidic and nutritious organic mulch or compost soil. They respond well to light daily watering, as with most plants over wetting can do more harm than good. The Ixora plant has pointed leaves and appear in rounded clusters at the top of many branches. Some Ixoras have glossy more ovate leaves. 
Ixoras appear in may beautiful colors including, red. orange, and bright and light pink.

The Canna Plant

Which plant can bring striking beauty to your garden? 
The Canna Plant is a rhizomatous perennial that grows with tropical-like foliage and large beautiful flowers, that resemble that of the iris. Canna is a genus of 19 species of flowering plants. It is family to the Zingiberales or Musaceae. These stunning beauties are low maintenance and easy to grow. The Canna comes in many different varieties and colors. The colors are strikingly beautiful and may be red, yellow or orange. You may even see colors such as maroon, bronze and variegate, depending on their species. The Canna plant thrives best in partially shaded areas or direct sunlight, moist soil that is properly well drained and rich in organic matter. Canna plants also thrive well in both pots and in the ground, and although resilient they can be susceptible to the cold. Over-wetting can do more harm than good.
