Which plant can stand alone and look elegant and beautiful? The beautiful  Orchid. Its flower appears in a variety of shapes, textures, sizes, colors and are often fragrant filled. The flowers sort of resemble little bees or tiny birds in flight, or a bee that has landed on a flower. Have you seen the black or red Orchid, they are amazingly beautiful. There are over 600 genera of orchids. The hybrid Orchids are resilient plants that are quite adaptable to most conditions and temperatures. They can be grown indoors and outdoors. Although they can be easily grown not all produce flowers. Due to the resilient texture of these long lasting flowers, the Orchids are used in events such as weddings, anniversaries and other celebrations. They can also be used as a corsage and withstand the rigors of students. Over wetting the Orchid plant can kill off the roots. Never allow Orchids to sit in water, as this will cause the plant to die. Epiphytic or orchids that grow on trees and branches are not planted in the earth like terrestrial orchids. .The Epiphytic thrives best when grown from coconut or tree barks.
