The Orchid
Which plant can stand alone and look elegant and beautiful? The beautiful Orchid. Its flower appears in a variety of shapes, textures, sizes, colors and are often fragrant filled. The flowers sort of resemble little bees or tiny birds in flight, or a bee that has landed on a flower. Have you seen the black or red Orchid, they are amazingly beautiful. There are over 600 genera of orchids. The hybrid Orchids are resilient plants that are quite adaptable to most conditions and temperatures. They can be grown indoors and outdoors. Although they can be easily grown not all produce flowers. Due to the resilient texture of these long lasting flowers, the Orchids are used in events such as weddings, anniversaries and other celebrations. They can also be used as a corsage and withstand the rigors of students. Over wetting the Orchid plant can kill off the roots. Never allow Orchids to sit in water, as this will cause the plant to die. The Hibiscus Plant

Pest such as aphids, whiteflies, and mealybugs are also attracted to the Hibiscus plant. To control a pest, it is suggested to use a horticultural oil or insecticide soap. The Ixora Plant
The Ixora Plant is also known as Ixora ebracteata is a rare species from Thailand. It is a genus with over 350 species, some of which rival the hibiscus as garden shrubs. They respond well to light daily watering, as with most plants over wetting can do more harm than good. The Ixora plant has pointed leaves and appear in rounded clusters at the top of many branches. Ginger Lily Plant
The beautiful Ginger Lily also called garland flower belongs to the genus Hedychium of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae). There are about 52 species in the tropical and subtropical regions in the east. Their rhizomes (underground stems) are ginger like, that is fleshly with a yellow bluish interior. The Ginger lily leaves are rich green above and bluish on the underside, and can grow to approximately two (2) feet in length. The species Hedychium green's leaves are dark green on the topside and red on the underside. They are sweetly scented flowers that grow in a spirally arranged cluster. The Ginger Lily is strikingly beautiful and appears in colors such as white, yellow, pink, orange and red. The Ginger lily plants are prized for the floral shows atop bold foliage stalks. The Coleus Plant
